I've reached the ripe young age of 50 and am embarking on a wonderful journey with my new best friend, Geno. Together we will be opening an eclectic, sort of "retro" cafe on the west coast. We both love good food and good company and want to share the joy of life we have found together with others by inviting them into our "home" and our kitchen.
Geno keeps me youthful and playful, always dreaming, always reaching for my dreams.
I have lived in California for four years, leaving an unhappy relationship of 20 years behind me, rebuilding a new life, a new sense of worth and self-esteem. I am alone here in California, with the exception of a few good friends, my best friend, and lots of dreams.
We all have a favorite excuse: "There's not enough time." "I'll do it next week." "I'm too stressed from work." They just pop into our heads. The thing is, once you get moving, exercise isn't so bad. What excuses tend to creep into your mind? Do you let them win every time? How will you overcome your exercise devil-on-the-shoulder?
It's always that I'm too tired, working two jobs to fulfill my dream. But I taped a photo of the building I will be buying to start off my business and it inspires me to keep going. Being well and fit will be key to fulfilling my dream in a happy state of mind.
