It happens in the office and around holidays. It's those two-sticks-of-butter desserts people encourage us to eat. Don't eat enough and you'll hear, "What, you don't like it? It doesn't taste good? If you like it, why didn't you eat very much?" How have you dealt with this situation? What can you do or say in the future? Have you ever made a healthy meal or snack to show someone food can taste good and be good for you?
I cannot stand when people push you to eat. I try to respond with I am working on changing my eating habits to a healthier way of eating, but thank you for the offer. Sometimes it works but not always

librarylover as a school librarian I have delt with this a lot, and I must say my response varys ..... let's just say I am a very good gusher and I can even write an excellent thank you note having no idea how something even tasted! I also have "people" in my life who can gobble up calories and be OK. (question is ... do I really want to do that to those I care about!) Long story short ... I am an excellent liar and I know how to sound extreemly grateful .... however if I cross the line and nibble a bite it is all over!
